The CMS Executive Committee sets the strategy of CMS, which is executed by the Executive team led by the Chairman and Executive Director.
Cornelius Brandi, Chairman
Having served on the CMS Executive Committee since its founding in 1999, Cornelius Brandi was named CMS Chairman in 2008. He has been the Managing Partner of CMS Hasche Sigle, having been first elected to the post in 1999. He became a partner of Hasche Albrecht Fischer (now CMS Hasche Sigle) in 1986, specialising in corporate and maritime law. Cornelius studied and trained in Germany, Spain and the United States. He also serves as Chairman of the advisory board of a mineral oil company and other offices in private and public bodies.
Matthew Gorman, Executive Director
Matthew Gorman became CMS Executive Director in July 2011, after being Director of Operations since November 2007. He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bath in the UK and has spent his entire career in Professional Services; in the market research sector, then in accountancy – working in Business Development for one of the (then) Big 6 firms – and, since 1998, in the legal sector in both business development and general management roles. Matthew is a certified Business Coach.
